I’m Coming Out
It’s Fashion Week in New York and Betty is hustling to ensure “MODE’s” runway show goes off without a hitch. But to Betty’s dismay, Daniel offers a now-unemployed Hilda a job helping out with the show. Betty is not too happy working alongside her sister because Hilda has taken the spotlight away from Betty. Because of their previous experiences which resulted in Betty losing jobs when they were working together, Betty tries to keep Hilda out of sight by giving her jobs where she won’t be seen. However, those attempts fail miserably. On top of that, Justin wants to tag along to the event too.

Ugly Betty season 1 episode 13
In the weeks that have passed since Sofia’s deception, we find the Suarez’s at a Mexican restaurant, where in the midst of a conversation between Betty, Justin and Ignacio, Hilda runs in and informs her family that Herbalux has been recalled by the FDA and she is without any income. Betty tries to tell her that it will all be okay. She then offhandedly remarks that she needs to pick up Daniel’s dry cleaning and run a few errands for him. Hilda points out that she’s not his assistant anymore, but Betty says she needs to look out for him. Hilda tells Betty that she is such a good person for worrying about Daniel. Betty tells her sister that you have to do what you have to do, and puts back on her sombrero hat (filled with nachos) and goes back to waiting tables….her new job at Burrito King.

Sofia’s Choice
The show begins with a scene of Betty desperately trying to get onto the closed set of the live filming of a television show to see Daniel. She was apparently told that she specifically was forbidden to pass, and guards carry her away as she screams to Daniel, who is about to go on television.
Then the screen flashes: 24 hours earlier…

Swag
As Betty prepares to move over to MYW, Christina stops by to ask what happened to the Gucci handbag she gave Betty after noticing a knock-off on her desk. Betty explained that it all started four months earlier during Christina’s swag lottery (which involves designer outfits and other goodies that are now leftovers), which created a cut-throat feeding frenzy among the office fashionistas, especially Amanda and Marc, who wanted that Gucci.

Betty works at her desk which is lit only by Christmas lights, while Christmas music plays in the background. Henry walks up and they flirt a little. Henry looks at some greenery she has on her desk. “Is this mistletoe?” and leans in the plant one on her. Henry smiles and says, “Wow. You know what, Betty? You’re just the girl I’ve been looking for. “Betty wakes up with a start, wearing headgear and plastic rollers. She sighs and flops back on her pillow.

Lose the Boss
It’s the day after Thanksgiving. A hungover Daniel finds himself waking up in Betty’s bed. She reminds him that she picked him up drunk in a bar last night. When he asks her where she slept, her answer was ‘In your arms,’ but she’s just teasing; she actually slept on the couch. He bitterly tells her that Sofia ran away with her perfect boyfriend and ‘his perfect chin’ (aka Hunter, her fiance). She tries to reassure him that a lot can change in a short time and tucks him back into bed. Betty goes downstairs and tells her father to be nice to Daniel when he wakes up.

As Thanksgiving Day approaches, it appears that everyone has plans thats about to go awry, in more ways than one.For Betty, she finds herself waiting for Daniel to let her go home so she can fix dinner, but it appears that her multi-tasking is causing a rift with the family.

As another working day passes at MODE, Daniel finds his working day cut out for him trying to find a freelance reporter to do an article for newly opened hotel. And for Betty, who just arrived with his bagel (which by the way got wet as she handed it to him), it looks like he has found the person who can write the review.

The Lyin’ the Watch and the Wardrobe
It’s Halloween, and in the Suarez household the day starts with both Betty and Hilda asking their dad about his false Social Security card, but he seems too busily immersed in the festivities. Justin on the other hand dresses up as a sailor (he’s channeling Gene Kelly from “On the Town”). Betty’s idea of celebrating is to dress up as a butterfly for what is supposed to be a work Halloween party.
